Abstract

This article analyzes the psychological features of the formation and development of emotional intelligence in preschool children. Emotional intelligence is considered as an important psychological competence that includes a child’s ability to recognize and manage their own feelings, understand the emotional states of other people, and give appropriate emotional responses in social relationships. The article substantiates that the development of emotional intelligence in the preschool period is influenced by the family environment, relationships with peers, pedagogical influence, play activity, and the child’s individual psychological characteristics. It also highlights the importance of role-play games, emotion recognition exercises, fairy tales and works of fiction, situational tasks, and communication-based pedagogical methods in developing children’s emotional intelligence.
