METHODS OF IDENTIFYING THE MUTATION PERIOD IN CHILDREN'S VOICES: PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract

Voice mutation is a natural physiological process that occurs during adolescence and significantly affects vocal performance, speech quality, and communication abilities. In children, identifying the mutation period accurately remains a challenge due to individual biological differences, environmental influences, and insufficient diagnostic criteria. This study investigates the methods used to identify voice mutation in children, examines the challenges associated with the process, and proposes practical solutions for educators, vocal trainers, and healthcare professionals. The findings indicate that a combination of acoustic analysis, medical examination, and continuous observation provides the most reliable results. The study contributes to improving vocal health management and educational practices for children undergoing voice changes.
